Percogesic Ingredients
Posted over a year ago
I have noticed that the secondary ingredient in Percogesic used to be phenyltoloxamine citrate. Now the bottle indicates the secondary ingredient to be diphenhydramine. Has the formula changed or is this a different name for the same ingredient? If so why create confusion by such a change?
Stephlk - I wondered the same thing. Diphendydramine is the same ingredient in many cough medicines as well as night-time pain relievers such as Excedrin PM. It leaves me with that groggy, hang-over effect. Phenyltoloxamine citrate did not have that effect. Now Percogesic is just like all the other night-time pain relievers. What a shame.
Delane - I use to use the old percogesic for migraines befor imitrx or zomig.........we used benadryl at childrens hospital because its a relatively safe med.............I want to obtain the old percogesic...........Dea O RN
