PredniSONE Rapid Heart Rate, Extreme Anxiety, Adrenal Crisis, Blurred Vision, Insomnia
I'm on day 4 of my 5 day dosage of Prednisone. I was prescribed to take 3 tablets (20 mg/tablet) once a day for 5 days...apart from feeling kind of run down and fuzzy, I hadn't really noticed anything, until I noticed that my eyes were a little blurry...nothing too serious, just kinda...foggy, again. I also am near sighted and don't wear my glasses like I should, haha, and I should add that I already suffer from anxiety, so I might just be fabricating the whole thing. ... more »

The thing I guess I'm worried about is that my doctor never had me build up to the 60 mg/day...I started at that dosage and I will stop with that dosage tomorrow, no "tapering down". It worries me that I will experience major withdraw, but at this point there's nothing I can do.
It seems like everyone experiences horrible side effects with this stuff -- this why do so many doctors prescribe it? I hate prescription drugs, so when I was prescribed, I asked about side effects and the only thing my doctor said was that it might make me jittery or have trouble sleeping...which it has, no big deal, but now all of these serious side effects? I'm scared that my whole life is about to change....
