I recall several specific(and scary) side effects...I was laying in bed one night after taking Sudafed for my severe allergies to pollen and dust, and I had this weighted feeling all over my body, like I couldn't move or sit up. I felt like I was being held down my a strong force or something. The lights from the smoke detector is very small, but that night as I looked at it, it got bigger and bigger and more blurry. It looked as if a face was forming in the blurriness and it wasn't a friendly face. The face looked so demonic that I closed my eyes and didn't look at the light. Still, closing my eyes didn't help. I kept seeing bright color flashes and grainy shadows even with my eyes closed. If any of that doesn't freak you out, this will. I had been reading about Henry the VIII of England earlier that day, and as I was lying in bed, I felt like someone was standing by my bed. Ever get that feeling like someone is watching you, well I had it at that moment. I opened my eyes and on the left side of my bed there stood Henry the VIII in his old fashioned robes staring at me. He was so real, not like a transparent vision of some sort. No, he looked like a real person. I am not kidding. I know I was hallucinating and I knew right then it was the Sudafed but I was totally freaked out. I had a hard time falling asleep that night and I felt so weighted down that I was so afraid that if I did go to sleep I wouldn't wake up. But, I did and I will never, never take Sudafed again. :)
