4mo old currently in the hospital over complications from Reglan

I'm wondering if my 4 mo old niece will ever be the same. My niece has been taking Reglan on a regular basis for acid reflux. Late last week she became unresponsive, limp and unable to eat. She has a rollercoaster of a day with energy and then a weakness that I've never seen before. She currently has a team of Doctor's trying to figure out the mystery and I believe they suspect this drug which caused a severe reaction. They have removed her from the drug, but is it too late? Is the damage done? The Doctor's suggested an MRI last night of her neck and head as she can't keep her head up and has a very weak cry. I'm worried this Drug is more harmful than people think. Why hasn't the FDA pulled this drug? I've been up doing research to determine what other's have encountered. I'm amazed with what I've been reading. I'm already thinking about legal action.
