Adderall side effects

Posted at 3:26 PM on Nov 05, 2008 by christian08, #8202
I just just prescribed Adderall because I was having problems focusing and retaining what I was reading and studying. I am able to read the information just once unlike before when I had to read it 3 or 4 times in order to focus and understand, but when I take it, I feel like a chatter box and feel like I have extra coal in my choo choo. Is this normal? I don't understand how it can quiet your mind, but make you feel chatty. Can someone please tell me. Thanks.

My son ha dbeen on it for 5 years, he is up to the 30 mg capsule. When he was first given it by the dr I did not like some of the side effects. He lost alot of weight, he would not eat, and when it wa time to go to sleep. that was a chore. He had some much more energy, his grades went from c's and low b's to straight a's. Now he does not take it during summer vacation, weekends or anytime he is not at school. I believe it has done him a world of good. My husband and I did not have him put on it right away, we spent many months research it. But now he is doing great
