I am addicted to Adderall. I end up taking 15-20 20mg pills a day. I chew them also. I go without sleep for 2-3-days until my body wont go anymore. I really need the Adderall for adhd. It honestly changed my life for the better, but I obviously am so addicted that I can't get back to my normal 1 pill(20mgs) 3 times a day. I refuse to give them up fully, but what can I do to get my tolerance level back to the norm? I don't really see anything bad happening to my body, even though with as much as I am currently taking a day, something has to be happening. What can that much do to me and how can I get back to my normal dosage? I know to have someone stern hold them and dose them out to me, but how many should I go down a day?
Adderall is essentially amphetamine. The equivalent street drug is Speed. Which is why you can stay up for days at a time. Side effects? You can increase your blood pressure to dangerous levels, give yourself a heart attack, overdose simply by having a build up of the drug in your system, have physical and mental addiction to it, etc. Talk with your dr. immediately. Plus, I am wondering how you are able to get a prescription for that much adderall each month! I can't imagine a dr. is prescribing it to you! Also, you might want to try some of the newer non-stimulant ADHD meds. They are often just as effective in treating/managing the ADHD symptoms, but without the stimulant effects.
Good luck!
I am addicted to adderall as well. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and was originally prescribed 30mg of Adderal XR. Then it went up to two 30mg XR pills, then two 30mg XR pills, 2 1mg XR Xanax (which now I am also addicted to). OR….I can get the 20mg regular release and take 4-5 a day (prescribed). At first, it worked wonders, but now, I just get cravings to take more and more and it’s starting to spin out of control.
