Anyone's breathing became worse after taking Singulair?

I have the following situation. I got abad sinus infection and my doc also suspected that I might have asthma because I was wheezing alot. So he put me on 10 days of Amoxicillin to kill the infection, gave a steroid nasal spray and also put me on Singulair. I have the following symptoms. 1. I have a horrible aftertaste in my mouth especially when I cough..it takes like metal or blood. 2. My breathing becomes really horrible in the evenings (right before bed). I wheeze a lot and loud. Lots worse than it was when I first went to the doc. I do not know if there is a connection, but I wonder if what causes the breathing wheezing problem might be either Singulair or the nasal spray. Any ideas? has anybody experienced the same? I stopeed amoxicillin today. So I can narrow it down to either spray or Singulair that is causeing this. Please let me know if somebody experienced the same problems, or know what is going on. P.S. I have been on all this meds 10 days only so far. Thanks

Mine also started with "sinus infection". Took every kind of OTC medication(sudafed, etc.) - no relief. Took z-pack antibiotics - no relief. Dr. then had me take Flonase nasal spray - no relief - PLUS lost sense of smell and taste within 2 days and the "blood/metal" taste/smell began. Now taking Singulair - relief for about 1 hour to get to sleep, but then waking up every hour with very drippy/congested nose. So I'm thinking it was the Flonase that started the metal smell/not necessarily the Sing. HELP! I need to sleep! Haven't slept or had a normal workday without going through a whole box of Kleenexes in 12 weeks! Anybody tried an ENT, yet? What relief can they give?

The singulair may be causing the problem - probably not the flonaise. Neither one of them has helped me. It seems like every year I end up having to take prednisone for two weeks (a low dosage) to get my head cleared up, breathe again and be able to smell as well! They say the prednisone is bad for you but singular has given me panic attacks that sent me to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack! Which is worse?! Good luck! (I have also tried acupuncture which actually worked better than anything else until my practitioner moved to San Diego!)
