are these side effects

on 150mg of effexor xl 1 in the morning and one at tea time been on them over 1 year but have started getting awful pins and needles in right shoulder which travels into the wrist also terrible leg cramps which travel down the backs of both legs and cause pins and needles in the front of my foot are these a side effect and when is it safe to start and cut them down .all doctors want to do is keep us on them?
