atenolol and sleep apnea

Posted at 12:41 AM on Sep 08, 2008 by sharrison, #7445
I wonder if atenolol can contribute to sleep apnea. Since being on atenolol, i have experienced lower blood pressure and a slower heart beat. All of that is good. I have also experienced occasional trouble catching my breath, slower breathing, and a diagnosis of sleep apnea. Can antenolol lead to sleep apnea? Can it depress lung function?

It does cause tight chest shortness of breath. I also had a cough. I weaned myself off
