baclofen percribed for arthritis

I was percribed Baclofen for arthritis in my lower back??? Doesn't work though. Can you tell me why I might have been percribed this medication?

Well, Baclofen is a skeletal muscle relaxant. It is also used for people who has spasms/spastic activity in their spine...
