Bactrim and dry bumpy skin??

I had woken up one morning with a really swollen lip that was pretty numb. I had a minor case of acne on my chin and the doctor said it was fever blisters but after consideration said maybe it's due to the acne and put me on bactrim. I started taking bactrim about 4 days ago and almost immediately that night I got a really itchy "rash" on my face. It wasn't really a typical rash but instead just dry skin that was really itchy. A close look showed tiny bumps all along my jaw and up into part of my earlobe. I stopped taking the bactrim, and now where the "rash" was, there is just dry bumpy skin. I know some people mentioned that they had this happen on their fingers minus the bumpiness but did anyone have anything else similar happen to them like this when taking bactrim?
