Bad Episode with Lisinopril

Last Monday, about 40 minutes after taking a 20mg dosage of Lisinopril, I became super dizzy. I staggered into my bedroom and fell upon the bed. The sweat POURED out of me ... my wife said she could see a halo actually growing around me on the sheets from the sweat. The world continued to spin for about 14 hours and then began to reduce in intensity. My doctor said I had a case of positional vertigo and prescribed the Epley maneuvers. It is now Friday and I am still staggering around. Do you believe this this was from the Lisinopril? After not taking it for 2 days, I began taking it yesterday and today. About 1/2 hour after taking it, I am staggering ... but it clears after 2 - 3 hours. I am concerned about taking this over a long time or is it just getting used to the drug??
