bulging eyes caused by synthroid

I have been "on again" "off again" on synthroid for 5 yrs now. It brings my energy level up, but the side effects are worse that the initial problem itself. The most annoying problem is that my eyes bulge and it is very obvious - Other side effects : rapid pulse, insomnia, fogginess, dizziness - The Docs just look at me and say they have never heard of it. HELP PLEASE - Any info would be greatly appreciated. When I go off the meds, my eyes go back to normal, along with everything else, except then, my energy level also drops. Thanks for any info you can provide.
