chronic insomnia

My dr. told me to take 1 trazodone (50 mg) and 1 alprazolam at bedtime - I barfed it all up within 4 minutes. Next night took 1/2 trazodone and could not sleep at all, and had slight nausea. I had been taking 2 alprazolam (1 mg each) and they put me to sleep, but I was depressed during the day and tears came to my eyes for no reason. Tired all the time now. Don't know what to do.
