Clonazepam and PPS

Posted at 8:34 PM on Sep 07, 2004 by ashemont, #1049
I am a polio survivor and one of the late term problems I have is restless leg syndrome - to the point that I was waking up every 2 hours and not feeling rested at all. Neurontin was initially prescribed but one pill left me wiped out for 2 days. Some drugs just do not work for those of us suffering from Post Polio Syndrome like they do with 'normal' people. My doctor just put me on Clonazepam last week (I take .5 mg at bedtime) and I am now sleeping the night through! It's like a miracle. Has anyone else had experience with Clonazepam and PPS? I'm wondering if there are any side effects I should be aware of - particularly as pertains to my condition.
