concern about certain side effects that omeprazole have.

My husband has recently started Omeprazole. He has only been on them for 5 days. He has started to experience a unusual feeling, he is unable to feel his left hand and arm up to his elbow also his wrist is very weak. I don't know if this is a side affect of the tablets or another medical problem. He was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus because of this he walks with 2 crutches which he is finding difficult at the moment with not being able to feel his arm and hand. Can you help please I am very worried about him.
