Constant swallowing

My wife says it feels like she is being choked and then she "swallows profusely" as she puts it. I think Geodon caused this... she started it after being on G for about 3 months. Told the doc... he said it was globus hystericus and that she has a severe anxiety problem. Well, she never had anxiety like this before Geodon. HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
