Daughter Developed Facial Tics

My daughter was on Concerta for a long period of time - when the medication was increased, she developed facial tics after a period of time. The medication was decreased and shortly thereafter, the tic went away. She has been off Concerta for three months and now on Lamictal for two months. It was increased from 50 mgs to 75 mgs and the tic returned after about 10 days on the medication. Psychiatrist says tics not a side affect, I believe it is. Can you help??? Thank you.

I had a facial tic at my right cheek bone below the eye for 4 + months while taking two different vision care suppliments with Lutein 6 mg (zeaxanthin 0.24mg) , bilberry extract , soy , beeswax , ect. It strongly effected my sense of smell , and mostly went away in 1 1/2 months , except for a lingering strange smell like smoke .

That last reply was the situation , after I stopped taking grocery store suppliments that had Lutein .
