DIOVAN WITH HCT AND DIABETES

I started taking DIOVAN some two years ago with HCT. I have taken it over six years. Shortly after taking Diovan with HCT I developed diabetes which sometimes was hard to control. I take two 500 mg of Metformin a day. Three days ago I stopped the Diovan because I was tired of getting up 5 and 6 times a night to urinate. Low and behold, for the past three days, no matter what I eat or drink my glucose levels have been very low, as low as 75 and I feel the best I have felt in two years. Could the Diovan with the HCT be affecting or causing my diabetes? I have read that it can.
