Does diovan ever stop working?

Posted at 10:26 AM on Nov 18, 2008 by sha0320, #8344
I have been taking Diovan for over 10 years. In the past 6 weeks my blood pressure goes extremely high, like 189/98, I always take the Diovan around 7 PM. My doctor has added metoprolol er 50 mg and this has helped daytime pressures but the PM bp readings are still way too high, Has anyone else had this experience with Diovan?. Thanks S.

try splitting the dose of metoprolol ER to 25mg in the morning and 25mg in the evening. There have been studies that confirm taking the ER (extended-release) form twice daily is more beneficial than once daily
