dosage of simvastatin

I now take 40 mil of simvastatin, can I cut this into 4 parts and take only 10 mil and it be effective. Not sure if this medications can be cut or not.

Statins are dangerous drugs that cause MANY side effects. The drs. and drug co's are doing a SCAM on the anti-cholesterol drugs . . it is all about big $$ and many people suffer. In reality, your mind/body NEEDS cholesterol to function properly. DON'T LET YOUR DR. TO CON YOU. . . I know, I am a victim of Lipitor . . . . I learned the hard way.

you should cut it, first in half- take 20 mg a day for awhile. then cut it in quarters and take 10 mgs a day for a week or so and then cut it out entirely. there's probably no need for you to be on this, but it's safer to taper off it gradually
