Eliguard for enlarged prostate??

My dad has an enlarged prostate not cancer.. the doctor (not in the USA) gave him an injection of Eliguard and has said that it helps reduce the gland. Now i am very worried after reading that he has received a cancer drug. is it ok? do they sometimes use this for prostate enlargement? does it work. will he be ok?? or was he just duped because he paid equivalent of $600 out of pocket
