excessive bleeding/blurred vision, leg cramping, hands, feet w poor circulation.

Posted at 5:52 PM on Mar 27, 2008 by lcw, #5360
I have had significant bleeding from my gums. This is heavy and difficult to stop. Also, I stepped on a tiny 'something' that put a puncture wound in my large toe and it bled and bled, soaking my stocking and pooling under my foot! The bleeding was difficult to stop. Lab work done showed normal clotting time, cbc is normal. Plz advise as I have blurred vision, leg cramping, cold chills and poor circulation to hands/feet. I have scleroderma/lupus, LVH. I am 70 yrs old. \ ******

I have had some of these things, but really found that some people need to change their HABITS during medication times,I would suggest that tobacco be stopped. And then a review living environment.I have NOT smoked tobacco since the late 90's.But at times I do hang-out w/SMOKERS.This seems to be a repeating problem in my normal hygiene.I also stopped drinking coffee and now only drink GREEN TEA.Bleeding Gums seem to have some connection to a "dirty" sinus from environments. Also, long hair tends to collect things like SMOKE from environments.I always drank lots of water(and that really made no change).Dry Mouth or blurred vision(is a mystery). But,leg cramps while walking can be lessened if you be sure to wear new footware(footware does not really suffice our needs).Or just stop for a moment, lossen you footware,re-tie your footware and walk again. Most times we need to warm up if we are walking long distances.Give yourself some time too adjust. My best advice, since I took very large DOSES of MEDS for over 6-years/is to be neat and don't smoke(anything).Always wear good footware.Even wash your footware(if possible).During MEDS(6-years)my weight was very high(like 250-lbs).Once I could be able to use NO MEDS because I managed my disabilty better-I began to DIET and EXCERSISE.So,there are things we loose as we contain MEDS in our lives-weight gain and in-activity have a SIDE-Effect(all their own). The Program that I was in always mentioned that we were FREE-to-Stop-taking-MEDS.This is a BASIC Step for the large population that needs to have MEDS in their lives. You have a good choice in MEDS that offer a MED CHANGE.We live a difficult excistance-taking medications that are stong chemicals, finding a comfortable life is possible, keeping medication to a minimum dosage helps also/Good Luck-Be Wise.

I hope this has resolved for you and you have found the answer to your questions. But if not, have your doctor do a liver panel blood test which includes your platelet level. Reduced platelets will lead to excessive bleeding and bruising. Also if low enough, you can spontaneously bleed from your gums and GI tract. Late, but hope this helps. Jo
