Geodon wife

My husband just got taken off lamictal and abilify and put on geodon and depakote and xanax. How long should it take to see if bad side effects are going to happen. I know it is different with every person but I have read so much in 2 days about violent reactions and reactions similar to being on acid. With my husbands history that worries me. What is the general opinion on geodon and what should I be on the look out for. He is bipolar-1 and so I know how to look for oncoming manic episodes but what I am reading seems different and quicker than manic. Also a few thngs said with xanax involved he could be like a zombie. Does anyone have those side effects?
