Getting off Lamictal Blue

I have been taking this medication for about a year and a half and I want to get off of it, can I just stop taking it or do I have to get off slowly. Please let me know as soon as possible, I only have about a week supply left.
i would contact your Dr. first. Im on the same thing and i was told to not stop all at once....
