going bald

I was on effexor xr for 2 yrs. after I delivered my baby I went off it totally...I was feeling very depressed and irritable so I thought I would try to get back on it ,but started out slow because I was nursing ...I was afraid it would affect him so after a few doses I quit taking it....it was then I noticed a small bald spot on my head and in time it grew larger and I now have four bald spots and am afraid more are coming...could the effexor have caused that because of taking a few doses and stopping it like I did? please help.
