Has anyone chewed up a ER morphine

Pill on the advice of ur doctor?? If its to be sustained release--it shoud be slowly dispensed into ur system--why not get the immediate release morphine?? Maybe the granules in the MSER are so tightly bound with titanium that the actual dosage of morphine is still slowly released. I have on occasion put one under my tongue and it dissolved quite well and worked better. I have spoken to patients who grind it up and snort it--which is VERY wrong and VERY risky cuz an immediate dose of 60 mg morphine can potentially kill you
