I have been on Lantus for about one year and since taking it i have experienced extreme constant chest pain that radiates back to the shoulder blade. This is accompanied by dizziness and shortness of breath.
i have also gained 30lbs and counting. Interesting when my diet consists of proteins and vegetables.
I have been hospitalized several times with the concern of a heart attack but all test results have come back great. No one seems to find anything wrong with me and will not consider that I may be having some kind of a reaction to the lantus.
`
I went off the lantus just 2 weeks ago (on my own accord) and I have re-gained my health back. no more chest pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. I have even lost 10lbs.
Is anyone else experiencing this symptoms
PLS. STOP TAKING IT,AS SOON AS YOU CAN. PERSONALY, I WENT INTO CONJESTIVE HEART FAILURE, WITH MANY TERRIBLE SYMTOMS AND HOSPITILIZATIONS. SEVERE SHORTNESS OF BREATH.
PRAYERS TO YOU-

I also have been on Lantus for about 1 year. I noticed at the start of this year I got severe heartburn then after awhile started getting chest pains and heart palpitations. Over time the attacks have gotten worse and more frequent and no one GP, specialists ect have been able to give me an answer and nothing seems to alleviate the symtoms. The last couple of months have been the worst I wake up between 3 and 5am each morning with rapid irregular heartbeat, bad calve and arm cramps worse on the left side. I also get severe dizziness and walking evan short distances increase my heart rate and makes me short of breath with chestpains. I have been to emergency about 3 times now believing I was having a heart attack but no one can find anything wrong. Doctors and Diabetic specialists assure me its not the Lantus evan though the symptoms started not long after I started Lantus. After reading these comments I stopped the Lantus yesterday and have gone back on Mixtard 30/70. Will see what happens now. Hopefully the nightmare will end now.
