HCTZ and Kidney problems

Due to cancer , I have only one somewhat impaired Kidney and am taking lisinopril and metropolol to keep blood pressure low . 10 days ago I had a blood test that showed critically elevated potassium levels and Dr. said to stop lisinopril . In 4 days K levels back in normal range but blood pressure is now up to 123/75 from 95/68 before . I feel I need the Lisinopril but because of K level concern Should I take HCTZ as well ? Is it advisable to take HCTZ with kidney problem?
