higher dosage?

11 days ago i was prescribed 100mg of doxy once a day for moderate acne. I have not had any symptoms really which was surprising if you read all the symptoms people have from it on this board. It has not cleared up my skin as much as I thought it would. Would it help to take the pill twice a day? Would there be symptoms if so?
