How soon after removal will hair grow back?

I had my Mirena put in May 2009 & have already experienced SIGNIFICANT hair loss. My hair was thin to begin with, and so the hair loss is already extremely visible. I am planning on calling my doctor Monday to get it removed, but what I was wondering was if those of you who have had it removed could tell me if the hair loss got better after removal, and if so, how long does it take? I have totally freaked myself out reading posts on other sites about how women are still experiencing hair loss years later! I am hoping that since I have only had it in for a little over a month, my hair will start to regrow sooner, but is that just wishful thinking? Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated!
