Hydrochlorothiazide

For the last several years, I have battled Dry Eye Syndrome. Recently I was prescribed this drug to treat an ear condition. I had some reactions to 25 mg a day and decided to try cutting the pill in half (w/Drs approval, of course) For a little more than a week, I have been taking 12.0 mg. a day and, lately, I seem to be having more difficulty with the Dry Eyes. Has anyone had problems with this drug drying the skin and eyes?
