Hydrochlorothiazide side effects

HCTZ 25mg once daily make my bp too low, and my hr more irregular. I also now have dry skin on my forehead. I believe this is the wrong med for me, but my doctor seems too busy to care as I am now 97 yrs old. Please inform me of my options when it comes to changing mu bp med so I can seem more knowledgeable for my dr.
