i found a couple of Adderall xr 20 mg in my 17yr old daughters room. i haven't questioned her yet however i did take them out of the room.seeing how there has been some mood swings to begin with i am not sure if this has anything to do with it my gut tells me yes it does.i seem to be the brunt of the meanness and hatefulness actions. this is not her medication.

When I was 17 I hated my mom. No matter how much she meant well. When you do approach her about it (and you really should) get her when you take her to starbucks or wherever you take her where she asks to get food; and talk about it in the car so she can't shut the door in your face or try to block you out about it. She's going to deny it, you have to tell her that you know there's either two reasons why she's taking the drug 1) to loose weight 2) To focus better in school. what ever you do DON'T LOOSE PATIENCE. wait a few seconds to respond after she talks. Punish her without raising you'r voice. Making her feel guilty is the best way to go.
