Increased dreaming

I have been taking Metronidazole for about a week following oral surgery and I have about 3 days to go. For the past several nights I have been experiencing what I would call 'epic' dreams--long, drawn out, dramatic stories of which I am the central character that seem completely real. I wake up almost exhausted, yet exhilerated, feeling as if I have actually lived through something, remembering every detail. A websearch has turned up "increased dreaming" as a side effect and I was interested in others' experiences of this.
