Infertility

I hope not. I have not had a period since I stopped taking Yasmin and it is really scaring me! I stopped in March 09 and have had nothing. I found out my prolactin levels were high, due to the pill, and it needs to come down somehow. I'm trying to do this naturally because I do NOT want to put anymore hormones in my body. I posted the terrible side effects that I had already on this site about Yasmin. It is terrible- do not take this pill!

It can take quite some time to regain normal periods after taking any birth control. I recently started taking medication to lower my prolactin levels that have been elevated while on Yasmin. It has helped immensely. It improves mood, energy and libido as your prolactin levels start to normalize. It may be worthwhile to consider taking meds to lower your prolactin, even for a six week cycle, and then check your numbers again. I can definitely understand the hesitation and concern when it comes to taking more hormones though!
