Just went off Alesse

Hello there, I realize all women are different - but generally speaking, about how long does it take for users of Alesse (2year users) who go off of this brand of birth control to experience a regular cycle again? Or, to word this differently, what are the typical side affects of going off Alesse and when do they typically subside? Background: I have been taking alesse for 2 years and went off of it at the end of june. my period is now a couple days late but i've been having serious menstrual cramps and bloating for over 2 weeks now (usually, in a reg. cycle month, these subside once I get my period), but since i haven't gotten my period yet, i'm anxious for these symptoms to end.
