juvenille arthritus

my daughter is 11 and had been on methatrexate since she was 3 years old. just this week her results from a blood test have shown swelling of the liver. i have been advised to stop medication, which i had anyway. i dont feel happy with the out come should more of been done, has any one else had this kind of result. thank you lisa
