kenalog injections in lips to reduce silicone

After more than 6 months, I had kenalog injections in both upper and lower lips to try to reduce the silicone Not only did the swelling not go down, my lips became atrophied with swelling in some sections, puffiness in others and generally disfigured lips with some sections looking like they were eaten away. Is this a normal procedure and is there any recourse? Another physician now wants to cut out parts of the lips to remove some of the silicone and make the lips look more normal. What are your comments?
