leg and feet cramps

I`ve been taking Vytorin 10-20 mg 1 x daily for about 3 months.In the beginning I was having leg aches quite often but that has stopped.I`ve now been waking up in the night for about 3 or 4 weeks with terrible leg and feet cramps that I have to walk off and do stretches to relieve.Could the Vytorin be causing this???I am not taking any other new meds.Thank you; A.

Absolutely it could be the vytorin. Waking in the night with cramps is a common complaint from any statin user. The fact that you are not taking any other meds narrows it down real easy. Its important to understand that Vytorin has failed miserably in a study called ENHANCE. Its also i,portant to understand that statin drugs have NEVER shown any health benefits for females in ANY study. Sure they lower cholesterol, and do that well, but the ultimate goal of any cholesterol lowering med is to spare you of a cardiac event or early death. Right? Vytorin does not do that. Bobby
