Levoxyl raising blood pressure

Posted at 6:32 AM on Apr 06, 2008 by dee401, #5524
I would like to know if anyone is having a problem with their blood pressure spiking while taking Levoxyl? This is what is happening to me and I am really worried. Lately, I'm taking garlic and other supplements to keep it down. Please advise.

Yes! I am having trouble with it even as I write this. It has been happening ever since I started Levoxyl and the doc doubled my blood pressure meds a few days ago, and I am still spiking high. Also since I started Levoxyl, I have been put on a medication to slow my heart rate down. That is what prompted my husband and I to begin looking around for forums on this subject, and I am finding it to be true with other people. I am debating on not taking a Levoxyl in the morning........ready for a different one, and the doc said there is a natural one he wants me to try as soon as he gets my blood reports back. Makes you wonder if he knows something he may not be telling me.

Yes, since i have been on the levoxyl my blood pressure is always high....they even tested me for cushings syndrome as well....i have gained 15 pounds while taking prescription diet pills, and seeing a personal trainer. None of which have seemed to help! I am doing my own testing...i have taken myself off the levoxyl completley....2 days ago...im not going to tell my doc, i have an appt. june 24. When i go in for my appt. im goin to pretend ive been taking my levoxyl and see how the levels are then. and well if i lose weight and my blood pressure is down....bye bye levoxyl and endo drs.!!!
