Lipitor and alcohol

I recently have come down with a fever two weekends in a row after a night of dinner and about 3-4 glasses of wine. I don't know if there is a correlation to taking lipitor or not. My body starts shivering with chills and then about 2 hours later the fever hits. Has anyone else had this? I have a bare stent and was recently was taken off of plavix, and my lipitor decreased from 40mg to 20mg.

I do not drink often. I attended a wedding a month ago and had two glasses of wine. I had the same experience you have had with Lipitor..with no fever though. It happened again with only one glass of wine. I was taking 20 mg per day.. I said I will never drink any alcohol again.. not even a gl;ass of wine,, It was that strange..chills,etc..
