Posted at 3: 2 AM on Feb 14, 2008 by oldcarpetcleaner, #4836
Was on Lipitor for 3 yrs. All the worst side effects. Still very sore in most back, legs, neck & shoulder muscles after being off Lipitor for 2 months. DOES ANYONE KNOW how long before all the pains go away please? PS I'm not anti Lipitor at all I am anti not being monitored or made clearly aware of the side effects

I went off Lipitor on June 1s (my birthday), so have been off for 22 days. All of the zapping and tingling has subsided in my hands, feet, face, arms, and head. I still have neuropathy in my hands and numbness in my toes which all seem to be diminising. My neurologist says she expects full recovery in 4-6 months. Have your husband take B complex vitamins. I take Shaklee's twice a day. This greatly helps in the repair of the nerve damage from Lipitor. My neurologist also recommended me taking FBCx www.artjen.net, and omega 3 fish oils in the form of flax or fish to reduce cholesterol. Good luck!
