lipitor side effects

Posted at 2:21 PM on Jun 16, 2009 by suejune, #10199
I had been taking lipitor since oct of 2008; first symptoms appeared right away muscle spasms around my heart and in my stomach, it is now June of 2009 and now it seems I can hardly walk, I can't straighten my left leg or walk on my left leg. I made an exerted effort to stop taking the lipitor (now 3 days) but I still can't walk well, any suggestions?

Good that you stopped taking this dangerous drug. I stopped taking this POISON 16 mos. ago and I still have muscle/nerve problems. I continue to take numerous natural products to help the side effects. Everyone is different, in time, some people get better and unfortunately, some never recover. If I can help you, just let me know.

Sue, Muscle spasms and difficulty walking are both common symptoms from lipitor. 3 days off the drug is hardly long enough for recovery. Although the drug metabolizes from your body, it can leave damage in its wake. The reason is because cholesterol is so vital to nerves and cells. Once your body starts to make adequate amounts of cholesterol again, recovery happens as the cholesterol repairs the damage cells and nerves.
