loestrin iron brown pills

i been on loestrin 24 fe since august 4th 2009 the first month i felt like i was pregnant that was the worse month i was cramping,headache felt nausea i even puke this birth control is brutal but the nurse said it was normal this month of September was alright had some cramping and blood clots which is normal but now im on my third pack. and i have a question about the brown pills on my second month of the loestrin 24 fe i took the first brown pill i didn't start and the second and third then i took the 4th pill and i started im on my 3rd pack and im on my second white pill are you suppose to start your period on the first brown pill? because i didn't and i was wondering if this was normal. i started my period on the 4th one
