Long Term Effects of Lupron

Posted at 8:59 PM on Jul 13, 2009 by lva1005, #10422
I had a Lupron injection August 2008 for endometriosis. While on Lupron the side effects were too much for me to finish the treatment. I have not been myself physically in a very long time. After refusing my 2 round of round of treatment my period finally returned 4 months afterwards. I gained 10lbs in one month while still working out and eating healthy. Now 11 months later I am having problems with my legs and feet. I can't stand for long periods of time. I have this burning sensation on my skin(legs and arms). I would have this sensation on my arms while on Lupron and just attributed that to a side effect of the medication. I'm always tired and have body aches. Again, the same side effects i experienced during treatment. My joints and bones ache all the time. My question is, is anyone else experiencing similar symptoms months after treatment.

For close to 4 yrs now I have been complaining of leg and hip pain. I have seen many Dr's from rheumatologists to Orhopedics and no one can figure this out. It's a very different kind of pain than I have ever felt before. And sometimes I feel that I just can't take it anymore. Then I read this article, and I'm also wondering if my leg pain could have anything to do with the Lupron I was on for a few months although it was back in 2004.
