My son was diagnosed with stomach reflux when he was 2 days old. He took Reglan until I changed pediatricians when he was 2 years old. My son was always very clumsey. (He is 12 now). We began noticing as he got older that his left leg seemed weaker than the right. He does not hold his left arch up and walks over on his ankle. The muscles in his left leg are noticeable smaller. He is also much less coordinated with his left hand. The doctor has told us the weakness is due to mild brain damage caused most likely before he was born. Is it possible that two years of taking Reglan could have caused the damage? Do the face twitching problems reported after taking Reglan, happen soon after taking the medication, or could this show up later in life?

This drug can cause MANY side effects . . (read some of the posts) . . NOW, after 10 years of giving this drug to your son . . . .you have all these ??? That's why I get so frustrated about most drs. that continue to push drugs . . .especially for children. . .I suggest that you find a naturopathic . . a dr. who treats health issues . . .NATURALLY . . instead of drugs.
oh my god, why give a 2 day old baby drugs? really, what could be wrong at 2 days old? i guess this way, when you sign up a customer for life for your friendly drug company, you really mean to start life right from the beginning!
