Loss of smell

I too used what I think was Nasacort back in 2003 and lost my sense of smell for approximately one year. I couldn't even smell coffee when I put my nose down in the container!!!! Now, I have vertigo and the doctor has prescribed Nasacort. I am not going to use it until I call and find out if it was Nasacort that I took back in 2003. If it was I believe it was the Nasacort that caused me to lose my sense of smell. I have always talked about the nasal spray that I used and how it caused me to lose my sense of smell. For a few days everything smelled fresh - like it had just been cleaned. Then I lost every bit of my sense of smell and it lasted for about a year. I noticed that all the posts were dated in the year 2003. Has anyone had any side effects reported since then?
