Methadone weaning off of percoet

Posted at 6:38 AM on Aug 29, 2004 by dollgirl1964, #1045
I have been on percocet and viocodin for about 2 months now and I have a friend who has methadone to wean me off. How much and how long should I take it to take away the withdrawls that I am going thru. Someone please help. I can't take off work but need to wean myself off very soon. Please respond ASAP. Thanks very much!

Why on earth would you use menthadone to get of percocet or vicodin? I'm sorry but that seems to be a terrible idea in my opinion!!! Methadone will take you way longer to wean from compared to the other 2!! I have used all 3 for back pain for over a year and am now weaning after surjery. Vicodin and percocet leave the system much much quicker, methadone will have you in it's grips for months!! Please, I really think you need to speak with a doctor or a clinic before you make this decision!!!
