Methotrexate sodium

Hello, My name is Gerda. My Mother is now after taking various other drugs for Colitis that don't seem to help, is now going to be injected with Methotrexate sodium 0.6 ml, once/week. Please share with me your results whether beneficial or not. My Mother who is 74 was taking Prednisone for one year, which really wasn't working much for her. She was also taking Asacol prior to that, which apparently doesn't do too much, however, she has been informed that she must take this drug indefinitely. Any information from anyone regarding this issue or the aforementioned meds, would be much appreciated. Thank you kindly and best to you all. Sincerely Greda
